Hello and welcome!

My name is Ieva. I am the creator of Nordic Hook, and I love crochet. Well, I love crafts in general because, for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been working on some project: crocheting, knitting, sewing, drawing, etc. My mom showed me how to crochet when I was a little girl. Over time, I learned more stitches, and I started to enjoy crocheting even more. I believe that learning is a never-ending process and that there are no limits to one’s creativity; therefore, I know that crocheting will always be interesting and bring me joy. I hope my website inspires you to join me and crochet together. 

The name of my website, Nordic Hook, reflects my love for Nordic countries and the lifestyle of the people who live here. Originally, I am from Lithuania, but I have lived in Denmark for a long time now. I am still trying to master the art of “hygge”, which is something very specific about Denmark. “Hygge” cannot be translated directly, but it resembles a feeling of coziness. And what can be cozier than getting a cup of tea or coffee, your yarn and a hook, and creating beautiful crochet items!

I started my blog, Nordic Hook, in 2019. Since then, the collection of patterns and stitch tutorials has grown, and now there are hundreds for you to explore, completely free! I try to write my patterns in a way that even a beginner could follow along. Therefore, I always add detailed, step-by-step photo instructions to guide you through the entire project. The free patterns and tutorials include ads (they enable me to post content that is free for you!). However, if you prefer ad-free downloadable patterns and tutorials, you can purchase them in the Nordic Hook Shop.

In 2024, I launched the Nordic Hook Club. It is a membership-based platform where I share ad-free downloadable patterns and tutorials. In the Nordic Hook Club, members can access member-exclusive content and download all the e-books for free. The stitch library and the pattern collection continue to grow, and I am happy to see new members joining the Club.
