Photo instructions for the large uneven fan stitch
Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of eight plus four. You will start working in the eighth chain from your hook.

2. You will make a treble crochet. So, yarn over twice.

3. Insert your hook in the eighth chain and yarn over.

4. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.

5. Yarn over.

6. Pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have three loops on your hook.

7. Yarn over.

8. Pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have two loops on your hook.

9. Yarn over.

10. Pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a treble crochet.

11. Make four more treble crochets in the same stitch.

12. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

13. Skip two stitches and make five treble crochets in the next stitch.

14. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

15. Then repeat. Skip two stitches and make five treble crochets in the next stitch.

16. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

17. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a treble crochet.
Row 2

18. Chain four and turn your work around. Chain four counts as a stitch.

19. Make two treble crochets in the first stitch.

20. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

21. Skip two stitches and make five treble crochets in the next stitch.

22. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

23. Then repeat. Skip two stitches and make five treble crochets in the next stitch.

24. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

25. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

26. At the end of the row make three treble crochets in the turning chain.
Row 3

27. Chain four and turn your work around. Chain four counts as a stitch.

28. Make five treble crochets in the fourth treble crochet of the previous row.

29. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

30. Then repeat. Skip two stitches and make five treble crochets in the next stitch.

31. Skip two stitches and make a treble crochet in the next stitch.

32. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

33. At the end of the row make the last treble crochet in the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-3.
