In this free step-by-step crochet stitch tutorial I show how to make the little arches stitch. This stitch is a lacy crochet stitch. The fabric turns out light and breathable. It is also a reversible crochet stitch that looks the same on both sides. The little arches stitch works great for shawls and wraps, lightweight scarves, lacy crochet summer tops and tanks, market bags, lightweight blankets and other summer crochet projects.

Materials and tools
Yarn: For this tutorial I use Soft FRAYA Cotton 8/4 100% Organic cotton 50g – 180 m yarn, color: sand. However, you can use your favorite yarn depending on the crochet project.
Hook: I use a 2.0 mm hook. If you are using a different yarn, choose the hook size that is recommended on your yarn label.

Row 1
1. Start by chaining a multiple of four. You will start working in the fourth chain from your hook.
2. So, make a single crochet in the fourth chain from your hook.
3. Chain three.
4. Make a single crochet in the next stitch.
5. Chain three.
6. Skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
7. Then repeat. Chain three.
8. Make a single crochet in the next stitch.
9. Chain three, skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
10. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
Row 2
11. Chain three and turn your work around.
12. Make a single crochet in the first chain three space.
13. Chain three.
14. Make a single crochet in the same chain three space.
15. Chain three.
16. Skip the next chain three space and make a single crochet in the next chain three space.
17. Chain three.
18. Make a single crochet in the same chain three space.
19. Then repeat. Chain three.
20. Skip the next chain three space and in the next chain three space make a single crochet, chain three and another single crochet.
21. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
22. Then chain three.
23. Make a single crochet in the turning chain space. For the rest of the pattern repeat row 2.
