- rep * *: repeat from * to *
- st: stitch
Notes
The size of my coaster is 8.0 x 8.0 cm. You will be working in rows. This pattern uses the single crochet mesh stitch. The photo instructions below show how to make this stitch. It consists of chains and single crochets. Please note that you should make single crochets in the single crochets of the previous row.
This stitch is reversible, so the coaster looks great from both sides.

Pattern
Start by chaining 26 (you can adjust the size by chaining more or less, just make sure that you have an even number of chains).
Row 1: Work in the back of the chain. In the second chain from your hook make a sc. Then ch 1. *Skip one stitch and make a sc in the next st, ch 1*, rep * * until the end of the row. The last stitch of the row should be a sc.
Row 2-24: ch 1, make a single crochet in the very first stitch (in the single crochet of the previous row), chain one. *Skip one stitch and make a sc in the next st, ch 1*, rep * * until the end of the row. The last stitch of the row should be a sc.
Fasten off.
