In this step-by-step crochet tutorial I show how to make the twin V crochet stitch working in rows and working in rounds. For this stitch you should know how to make a double crochet. It is a very easy stitch to make and it is suitable for beginners. It is a repeat of one row or round.
The twin V crochet stitch looks slightly different depending if you work in rows or in rounds. When working in rounds, every row looks exactly the same, therefore, the fabric looks a bit more even. Even though this stitch has a simple look it is still very beautiful.

Row 1
1. Start by chaining a multiple of four. You will start working in the fifth chain from your hook.
2. So, make a double crochet in the fifth chain from your hook.
3. Then make the second double crochet in the same stitch.
4. Make two double crochets in the next stitch.
5. Then skip two stitches and make two double crochets in the next stitch.
6. Make two double crochets in the next stitch.
7. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row until you have two stitches left: skip two stitches, make two double crochets in the next stitch and two double crochets in the next stitch.
8. At the end of the row, skip one stitch and make a double crochet in the last stitch.
9. Chain three.
Row 2
10. Turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.
11. Skip one stitch and make a double crochet in the third double crochet of the previous row.
12. Then make the second double crochet in the same stitch.
13. Make two double crochets in the next stitch.
14. Then skip two stitches and make two double crochets in the next stitch.
15. Make two double crochets in the next stitch.
16. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row until you have two stitches left.
17. Then skip one stitch and make a double crochet in the turning chain of the previous row. For the rest of the pattern repeat row 2.

Round 1

2. To connect the chain, make a slip stitch. So, insert your hook in the first chain. Make sure that the long chain is not twisted.
3. Yarn over.
4. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.
5. Pull the first loop through the second one.
6. Then chain three. It counts as a double crochet.
7. Make a double crochet in the very first stitch (in the same chain where you made a slip stitch).
8. Then make two double crochets in the next stitch.
9. Skip two stitches and make two double crochets in the next stitch.
10. Make two double crochets in the next stitch.
11. Then skip two stitches, make two double crochets in the next stitch and two double crochets in the next one.
12. Continue working in the same way until the end of the round until you have two stitches left.
13. To complete the round, make a slip stitch in the chain three that you made in the beginning of this round. So, insert you hook in the third chain and yarn over.
14. Pull the yarn through.
Round 2
15. Chain three. It counts as a double crochet.
16. Make a double crochet in the next stitch.
17. Then make two double crochets in the next stitch.
18. Skip two stitches, make two double crochets in the next stitch and two double crochets in the next one.
19. Continue working in the same way until the end of the round.
20. To complete the round, connect with a slip stitch to the chain three that you made in the beginning of this round. For the rest of the pattern repeat round 2.
