Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of three. You will start working in the seventh chain from your hook.

2. So, make a single crochet in the seventh chain from your hook.

3. Chain five, skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

4. Then repeat. Chain five, skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

5. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

6. At the end of the row, when you have two stitches left, chain two and make a double crochet in the last stitch.

Row 2

7. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

8. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

9. Chain five and make a single crochet in the next chain five space.

10. Then repeat. Chain five and make a single crochet in the next chain five space.

11. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

12. At the end of the row make the last single crochet in the turning chain space.

Row 3

13. Chain five and turn your work around.

14. Make two double crochets in the next chain five space.

15. Chain one and make two double crochets in the next chain five space.

16. Then repeat. Chain one and make two double crochets in the next chain five space.

17. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

18. At the end of the row chain one. Next you will make a treble crochet in the last stitch.

19. So, yarn over twice.

20. Insert your hook in the last stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.

21. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have three loops on your hook.

22. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have two loops on your hook.

23. Yarn over and pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a treble crochet!

Row 4

24. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

25. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

26. Chain five, skip the first chain one space and make a single crochet in the next chain one space.

27. Then repeat. Chain five and make a single crochet in the next chain five space.

28. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

29. At the end of the row make the last single crochet in the turning chain space.
