In this free step-by-step crochet stitch tutorial I show how to make the simple lacy leaves stitch. The simple lacy leaves stitch is a lacy crochet stitch. The fabric turns out light and breathable. Materials and tools
Yarn: For this tutorial I use Soft FRAYA Cotton 8/4 100% Organic cotton 50g – 180 m yarn, color: dusty pink. However, you can use your favorite yarn depending on the crochet project.
Hook: I use a 2.0 mm hook. If you are using a different yarn, choose the hook size that is recommended on your yarn label.

Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of eight plus four. You will start working in the fourth chain from your hook.

2. So, make a double crochet in the fourth chain from your hook.

3. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a double crochet in the next stitch.

4. Chain two, skip three stitches and make three double crochets in the next stitch.

5. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a double crochet in the next stitch.

6. Then repeat. Chain two, skip three stitches and make three double crochets in the next stitch.

7. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a double crochet in the next stitch.

8. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row, until you have four stitches left.

9. Then chain two, skip three stitches and make two double crochets in the last stitch.
Row 2

10. Chain two and turn your work around.

11. Make a double crochet in the second stitch.

12. Chain three and make a double crochet in the next double crochet.

13. Chain three. Next you will make a double crochet three together working in the next three double crochets.

14. So, yarn over, insert your hook in the next double crochet, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Three loops on your hook.

15. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Two loops on your hook.

16. Yarn over, insert your hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Four loops on your hook.

17. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Three loops on your hook.

18. Yarn over, insert your hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Five loops on your hook.

19. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Four loops on your hook.

20. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops. You have just made a double crochet three together.

21. Chain two and make a double crochet in the next double crochet.

22. Then repeat. Chain three and make a double crochet three together working in the next three double crochets.

23. Chain three and make a double crochet in the next double crochet.

24. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

25. At the end of the row chain three. Next you will make a double crochet two together working in the last double crochet and the turning chain.

26. So, yarn over, insert your hook in the next double crochet, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Three loops on your hook.

27. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Two loops on your hook.

28. Yarn over, insert your hook in the turning chain, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Four loops on your hook.

29. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops. Three loops on your hook.

30. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops. You have just made a double crochet two together.
Row 3

31. Chain five and turn your work around.

32. Make three double crochets in the next double crochet.

33. Chain two and make a double crochet in the next double crochet three together.

34. Then repeat. Chain two and make three double crochets in the next double crochet.

35. Chain two and make a double crochet in the next double crochet three together.

36. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
Row 4

37. Chain six and turn your work around.

38. Make a double crochet three together working in the next three double crochets.

39. Then repeat. Chain three and make a double crochet in the next double crochet.

40. Chain three and make a double crochet three together working in the next three double crochets.

41. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

42. At the end of the row chain three, skip two chains and make a double crochet in the next chain.
Row 5

43. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

44. Make a double crochet in the first stitch.

45. Chain two and make a double crochet in the next double crochet three together.

46. Then repeat. Chain two and make three double crochets in the next double crochet.

47. Chain two and make a double crochet in the next double crochet three together.

48. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

49. At the end of the row chain two, skip the next three chains and make two double crochets in the next chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-5.
