In this free step-by-step crochet tutorial I show how to make the almond stitch. This stitch is a solid, textured crochet stitch. It creates dense, durable fabric and works great for potholders, washcloths, pillow covers, blankets, scarves, cardigans, and other projects that need warmth, structure, and durability.

This crochet stitch tutorial includes detailed photo instructions. The almond stitch is a four-row repeat. For this crochet stitch you should know how to make half double crochet. The tutorial below shows how to make a slip stitch, slip stitch back loop only, and half double crochet back loop only.
