In this step-by-step crochet stitch tutorial I show how to make the double V and diamond stitch. This crochet stitch tutorial includes photo instructions and a video tutorial (see below). For this crochet stitch you should know how to make a single crochet and a double crochet. The double V and diamond stitch is a repeat of two rows. It is easy to make and it is suitable for crochet beginners. The fabric turns out light and lacy.

Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of six plus four. You will start working in the seventh chain from your hook.

2. So, make two double crochets in the seventh chain from your hook.

3. Chain one.

4. Then make two more double crochets in the same stitch where you have just worked in.

5. Chain one.

6. Skip five stitches and make two double crochets in the next stitch.

7. Chain one.

8. Make two double crochets in the same stitch where you have just worked in.

9. Chain one.

10. Then repeat: skip five stitches, in the next stitch make two double crochets, chain one, two more double crochets and chain one.

11. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. At the end of the row chain one as usually.

12. Then skip two stitches and make a double crochet in the last stitch.
Row 2

13. Chain five and turn your work around.

14. Make a single crochet in the first chain one space.

15. Chain two.

16. Then make two double crochets in the next chain one space.

17. Chain one.

18. Make two more double crochets in the same chain one space.

19. Chain two.

20. Make a single crochet in the next chain one space.

21. Then repeat: chain two, in the next chain one space make two double crochets, chain one and two more double crochets, chain two and make a single crochet in the next chain one space.

22. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. At the end of the row chain two as usually.

23. Then make a single crochet in the turning chain space.

24. Chain two.

25. Make a double crochet in the turning chain.
Row 3

26. Chain four and turn your work around.

27. Make two double crochets in the next chain one space.

28. Chain one.

29. Make two more double crochets in the same chain one space.

30. Chain one.

31. Then repeat: in the next chain one space make two double crochets, chain one and two more double crochets, chain one.

32. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. At the end of the row chain one as usually.

33. Then make a double crochet in the third chain of the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-3.
