In this step-by-step crochet stitch tutorial I show how to make the single crochet cluster stitch. This crochet stitch tutorial includes photo instructions and a video tutorial (see below). For this crochet stitch you should know how to make a single crochet. The tutorial below shows how to make a single crochet two together stitch. The single crochet cluster stitch is a repeat of two rows. This crochet stitch is easy to make and it is suitable for beginners. The fabric turns out quite dense and it has a beautiful texture.

Row 1

1. Start by chaining any even number of chains. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.

2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.

3. Chain one.

4. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

5. Then repeat: chain one, skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

6. The row should end with a single crochet.

Row 2

7. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

8. Then make a single crochet in the first stitch.

9. Chain one. Next you will make a single crochet two together working in the next two chain one spaces.

10. So, insert your hook in the first chain one space and yarn over.

11. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

12. Insert your hook in the next chain one space and yarn over.

13. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

14. Yarn over.

15. Pull the yarn through all three loops. You have just made a single crochet two together.

16. Chain one. Next you will make the second single crochet two together working in the same chain one space where you have just worked in and in the next one.

17. So, insert your hook in the same chain one space where you have just worked in, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

18. Insert your hook in the next chain one space, yarn over and pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

19. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all three loops.

20. Then repeat: chain one and make another single crochet two together.

21. Work in the same way until the end of the row.

22. At the end of the row chain one as usually.

23. Then make a single crochet in the last stitch.

Row 3

24. Chain one and turn your work around.

25. Chain one does not count as a stitch. So, make a single crochet in the first stitch.

26. Chain one.

27. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet.

28. Chain one.

29. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet.

30. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

31. At the end of the row chain one as usually.

32. Then make a single crochet in the last stitch. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-3.

Finished single crochet cluster stitch

33. Done!
