Photo instructions for the large uneven clam stitch
Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of eight plus two. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.

2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.

3. Skip three stitches and make five double crochets in the next stitch.

4. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

5. Then repeat. Chain two, skip three stitches and make five double crochets in the next stitch.

6. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

7. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a single crochet.
Row 2

8. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

9. Make two double crochets in the next two double crochets.

10. Make three double crochets in the next stitch.

11. Make two double crochets in the next two stitches.

12. Then repeat. Chain one and make two double crochets in the next two double crochets.

13. Make three double crochets in the next stitch.

14. Make two double crochets in the next two stitches.

15. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

16. At the end of the row make a double crochet in the last stitch.
Row 3

17. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

18. Make two double crochets in the first stitch.

19. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

20. Chain two and make five double crochets in the next chain one space.

21. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

22. Then repeat. Chain two and make five double crochets in the next chain one space.

23. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

24. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

25. At the end of the row chain two and make three double crochets in the turning chain.
Row 4

26. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

27. Make a double crochet in the first stitch.

28. Make two double crochets in the next two stitches.

29. Then repeat. Chain one and make two double crochets in the next two double crochets.

30. Make three double crochets in the next stitch.

31. Make two double crochets in the next two stitches.

32. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

33. At the end of the row chain one as usual and make two double crochets in the next two double crochets.

34. Then make three double crochets in the turning chain.
Row 5

35. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

36. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

37. Then repeat. Chain two and make five double crochets in the next chain one space.

38. Chain two, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

39. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

40. At the end of the row make the last single crochet in the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-5.
