In this free step-by-step crochet tutorial I show how to make the double crochet two together mesh stitch. This stitch is a lacy crochet stitch. The fabric turns out light and breathable. Materials and tools
Yarn: For this tutorial I use Järbo 8/4 100% Cotton Mercerized & Gassed 50 g yarn, color: 32018 (linen). However, you can use your favorite yarn depending on the crochet project.
Hook: I use a 2.0 mm hook. If you are using a different yarn, choose the hook size that is recommended on your yarn label.

Photo instructions for the double crochet two together mesh stitch
Row 1
1. Start by chaining any even number of stitches. You will start working in the sixth chain from your hook.
2. So, make a double crochet in the sixth chain from your hook.
3. Chain one.
4. Skip one stitch and make another double crochet.
5. Chain one, skip one stitch and make a double crochet.
6. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a double crochet.
7. Chain three.
Row 2
8. Turn your work around. Next you will make a double crochet two together. The first leg should be made in the very first stitch and the second one should be made in the next double crochet of the previous row.
9. So, yarn over.
10. Insert your hook in the very first stitch and yarn over.
11. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.
12. Yarn over.
13. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.
14. To make the second leg, yarn over.
15. Insert your hook in the next double crochet of the previous row and yarn over.
16. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.
17. Yarn over.
18. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have three loops on your hook.
19. Yarn over.
20. Pull the yarn through all loops on your hook. You have just made a double crochet two together!
21. Chain one. Next you will make another double crochet two together in the stitch where you have just worked in and in the next double crochet of the previous row.
22. So, make the first leg in the same stitch where you have just worked in.
23. Then make the second leg in the next double crochet of the previous row.
24. Complete the double crochet two together by yarning over and pulling in the yarn through all loops on your hook.
25. Chain one.
26. Make another double crochet two together working in the same stitch where you have just worked in and in the next double crochet.
27. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
28. At the end of the row make the first leg of the double crochet two together in the same stitch where you have just worked in and the second leg in the second chain of the turning chain.
29. Then make a double crochet in the same stitch.
30. Chain four.
Row 3
31. Turn your work around.
32. Make a double crochet in the chain one space of the previous row.
33. Chain one.
34. Then make a double crochet in the next chain one space of the previous row.
35. Chain one and make a double crochet in the next chain one space.
36. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
37. At the end of the row make the last double crochet in the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2 and 3.
