The prairie stitch

In this step-by-step crochet tutorial I show how to make the prairie crochet stitch. For this stitch you should know how to make a single crochet and a half double crochet. This stitch is very simple to make and it is suitable for beginners. The fabric turns out dense but not very thick.

For this tutorial I use Hjertegarn DIAMOND mercerized cotton 100% 8/4 50g yarn, colors 3304 (lilac), and a 2.0 mm hook.
