In this step-by-step crochet stitch tutorial I show how to make the linked treble crochet stitch. This crochet stitch tutorial includes photo instructions and a video tutorial (see below). The linked treble crochet stitch is a repeat of one row. The fabric turns out dense and it has a nice texture.

For this tutorial I use Soft FRAYA Cotton 8/4 100% Organic cotton 50g – 180 m yarn, color: blue, and a 2.0 mm hook.

Row 1

1. Start by chaining any number of chains. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.

2. So, insert your hook in the second chain from your hook and yarn over.

3. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

4. Insert your hook in the next chain and yarn over.

5. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

6. Insert your hook in the next chain and yarn over.

7. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.

8. Yarn over.

9. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have three loops on your hook.

10. Yarn over.

11. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.

12. Yarn over.

13. Pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a linked treble crochet! To make the next linked treble crochet you will work in the two horizontal bars of the previous stitch and the next stitch.

14. So, insert your hook grabbing the first horizontal bar of the previous stitch.

15. Yarn over.

16. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

17. Insert your hook in the second horizontal bar of the previous stitch.

18. Yarn over.

19. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

20. Insert your hook in the next stitch and yarn over.

21. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.

22. Yarn over.

23. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have three loops on your hook.

24. Yarn over.

25. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.

26. Yarn over.

27. Pull the yarn through both loops. The second linked treble crochet is complete.

28. Then make the next linked treble crochet working in the same way as before.

29. Continue making linked treble crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.

Row 2

30. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three does not count as a stitch. To make the first linked treble crochet you will work in the second and in the third chain, and in the very first stitch.

31. So, insert your hook in the second chain from your hook and yarn over.

32. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

33. Insert your hook in the next chain and yarn over.

34. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

35. Insert your hook in the first stitch and yarn over.

36. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.

37. Yarn over.

38. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have three loops on your hook.

39. Yarn over.

40. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.

41. Yarn over.

42. Pull the yarn through both loops. The first linked treble crochet is complete.

43. Then make the next linked treble crochet working in the same way as before.

44. Continue making linked treble crochets in every stitch until the end of the row. For the rest of the patten repeat row 2.
