Crochet zipper pouch Suzette

Here is a free pattern for a crochet zipper pouch Suzette. I like the texture of this pouch which I will probably use for my cards. I hope that you will like this crochet zipper pouch too 🙂

The Suzette stitch is very easy to make and it is suitable for beginners. So, this could be a great quick project to practice it! Here I work in continuous rounds, but you can also try working in rows and make this cute coaster Suzette. The stitch looks slightly different depending if you work in rounds or in rows. If you would like to take a look at a tutorial, you can find it here.

Good luck!

  • Hook: as suggested on your yarn label. I used hook size 2.0.

Crochet zipper pouch tutorial

Pattern

Start by chaining 27 with blue yarn.

Round 1: To make the first round, you will be working down the chain, then turn and work on the other side of the chain. Make sc in every st of the chain starting from the second chain from your hook. Turn. 1 sc in the end of the chain, make sc in every st (starting with the one you have just worked into; now that st has 3 sc in total) until you come back to the beginning of the chain. 1 sc in the end of the chain. Join with a sl st to the first sc of this round. In total you should have 54 st.

Round 2: Ch 1 (it will count as the first sc). Then make a dc in the very first st. Skip one st and make a sc. Then make a dc in the same st. Continue working in the same way until the end of the round: skip one st, make a sc and then make a dc in the same st. When you are at the end of the round, don’t join with a sl st.

Round 3-16: Make a sc in the top of the very first st of the previous round. Then make a dc in the same st. Continue working in the same way: skip one st, make a sc and then make a dc in the same st. Remember to mark the beginning of each round.

Change to gray yarn.

Row 17-19: repeat round 3.

Finish round 19 with a sc, then make a couple of sl st to even out the edge. Fasten off and sew in a zipper.
